TEXSTONES workshop is an unusual mix of textile recycling, geology, and materials design where participants experiment with textiles and polymers to create agglomerates that resemble stones, while learning about geology and sustainable production and consumption of fashion and textiles.
TEXSTONES workshop consists of 4 sessions that use geological concepts and processes like mineral structures, weathering and sedimentation, rock formation and gems, to guide fiber preparation, textile composite formation, carving and polishing of synthetic textile rocks.
